"There is no doubt in my mind that we assistants who primarily work in episodic television have benefited from having on-board monitors as standard camera equipment. I have come to view my monitor as an extremely useful tool not just for its benefit to me, but to every department on the set.

I first heard about the TRANSVIDEO 5” Rainbow monitor in 1996 from Walt Andrus, who is the camera operator I work with. When I saw it for the first time, I was very impressed by the wonderfully bright picture, excellent angle of view, and how well it performed outdoors in bright sunlight. I remember when I brought it to the set for the first time, the cinematographer, Kenneth Zunder, was also very impressed by the beautiful image quality. In fact, no one had seen a monitor that nice on a camera before!

My TRANSVIDEO monitor has logged many thousands of hours of use, taken its share of accidental bumps and bruises and still the image quality, color and contrast look as good today as it did when it was brand new in 1996. I often have people on the set approach me and tell me what a great picture this monitor has.

I am very proud to say that it is a TRANSVIDEO monitor and I own this one!

I look forward with perfect faith to its continued flawless performance."
